Almost all cultures of the word from Japanese to Australian and African to Aborigines believe in reincarnation. Whether it’s a Wiccan or a Hindu, every religion believes that all of us have lived in the past as different people and that past life has made us what we are today.
Your health, your mental wellbeing, and your social interactions are impacted by each past life. For this reason, it is often a good idea to ‘know thyself’ - to meet who you were in a past life, settle the demons that may be left over, and to integrate all the strengths you’ve accumulated over time so that you may be a stronger person now and in future lives.
Past Life Regression - How can you tell you have a past life? You may not be able to, but in many cases you will have disturbing dreams, or memories while you’re awake that do not belong to you. Many people who believe in reincarnation believe that we all have past lives (though if you do the math, it’s more probable that there are at least some new souls!) Other indications:
* When you saw or learned about a particular culture or arts, you already had a deep connection or attraction to that thing. Based on reincarnation idea, this may be because you were from that region or from that era. To be fully sure of this, you may want to learn some more culture or arts and discover your reactions and the effect it gives you; it may be linked to your origin in your past life.
* You may feel strongly about an incident in history like the American Revolution for instance. May be you feel very strongly because you have been a part of the movement.
* Some inexplicable fears which have no bearing in the present life and are not connected to your childhood. Allergies and physical problems may also be connected with your past life.
This is by no means an exhaustive list, and just the fact that you have one of these indicators does not mean you are remembering a past life. Look for patterns in your life, ranges of things that attract you for no good reason, and you may start to home in on similarities that will help you piece together an idea of what your past life or lives may have been.
Self-hypnosis can help you to access the past life you once had. If you can not do it, ask for somebody to help you through hypnosis. Most of the therapists who do past life regression are specialists as well in helping people know their past life. They usually do it by using a form of deep hypnotic procedure.
If you decide to use self hypnosis to access your past life yourself, look for a technique that doubles as a deep relaxation method. Try to work with this technique for a while before using it for your regression.
The safety aspect has no cause of concern. Past life regression is more like watching a movie or looking back in time. You will feel the emotions but not as intensely. You may also feel the shadows and the feelings associated.
Good memories will provoke good feelings. Conversely a bad past life memory will result in the same feelings as if you have had a bad dream. You will just wake up feeling uneasy, like you have had a nightmare. But please bear in mind that unpleasant memories, if indeed they are any, are an important part of the regression experience.
What you should give importance to is the things that happened in your past that you need to know in order to make a change for the improvement of your current life. You have to understand and accept what you experienced in the past so you can start anew with your life.
Most people believe in the principle of Karma which says that every action has a reaction. Hence kind and positive acts translate to good karma and are rewarded in future lives while the bad acts are punished in the future lives. People who are bad keep getting problems to improve and these problems only stop when they atone for all their misdeeds.
However these days people don’t agree with this kind of a theory since they believe that no one needs to suffer because of a past life. Each life that we live is an opportunity to turn a new leaf and do good deeds. What we need to understand is that we are not bad people and we can always forgive ourselves for our bad deeds and become good.
