Unarmed Distance Attacks

Slanting Attack: To complete this attack, the attacker will step forward with his right foot and try to strike the left side of the defender’s head. Then the defender uses a rear choke technique to force the attacker into submission. Unarmed Close Combat Attacks

Two-Hand Hold: The attacker steps forward with his left foot and grabs each wrist, attempting to knee the defender in the groin. This is avoided by stepping back onto the left foot and forcing the hand against the attacker’s thumb. The grip is released and the attacker attempts a strike to the temple. At this point, the defender grabs the attacker’s wrist and twists to the right. The technique ends with and arm and list wristlock, which forces the attacker to submit or suffer a broken arm.

Rear Seizure Technique: In this move, the attacker again steps forward grabs the arms and body from behind. The defender responds by lifting shoulders and arms while stepping forcefully on the attacker’s foot. This will force the attacker to release his grasp. Then the defender will turn to his right and grab the wrist with his left hand. This lifts the right arm behind the elbow and pushes the arm of the attacker into a throw with continued motion.

The Most Important Martial Arts Moves

Friday 3 September 2010 @ 1:41 pm

It is certainly no secret that it can take many years to become a martial arts expert.  Not only do you need to learn all the physical aspects of the trade but you also need to learn how to train your mind.  But with all the different martial arts styles out there, how are you to know which one is best for you?  Well the simple answer is that everyone is different.  Therefore, you need to analyze your reasons for wanting to learn martial arts moves and that will make the decision much easier.
